Nikhil pulls a chick trick

The only time Madhuri Dixit, Dimple Kapadia, Shabana Azmi, Karisma Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Genelia D'Souza and Deepika Padukone have come together, is probably for a film awards night. And now, Nikhil Advani has decided to bring these screen divas together in his next project.

The filmmaker after making male centric films Chandni Chowk To China and Patiala House with Akshay Kumar, has decided to cast a bevy of Bollywood beauties in his tribute to contemporary Indian women.

A source informed Mumbai Mirror, "Nikhil first approached Madhuri for this film when she was still living in the US.

Then he was informed that the actress would be relocating to Mumbai. Madhuri who loved the script of the project seems to have made up her mind to make Nikhil's film her comeback vehicle."

The fact that her Mrityudand co-star Shabana Azmi and Dimple Kapadia, who she had worked with in Ram Lakhan, will join her makes the role more interesting for Madhuri. In the film that will depict women from all age groups, Madhuri, Dimple and Shabana will form the first generation.

Karisma Kapoor is expected to helm the second generation of screen queens in Advani's film. While Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta will form the third generation, Genelia D'Souza and Deepika Padukone are expected to round up the dazzling star cast.

Though the industry is abuzz with speculations about Nikhil Advani's ode to the divas of Bollywood, the filmmaker himself remained tight-lipped about the same. "It's too early to talk about this project. I'm at present scripting the film," said Nikhil.

Shabana, Madhuri, Karisma, Deepika and Rani all in one film?


Mumbai: It could be a casting coup of sorts. If rumours are to be believed, filmmaker Nikhil Advani has decided to bring together a bevy of Bollywood beauties for his next film.


Nikhil plans to rope in Madhuri Dixit, Dimple Kapadia, Shabana Azmi, Karisma Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Genelia D`Souza and Deepika Padukone for his film!

The filmmaker, who has made films like ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’, ‘Chandni Chowk To China’ and ‘Patiala House’ in the past wants to make a female oriented film this time and pay his tribute to contemporary Indian women.

Speaking to a daily, a source informed, “Nikhil first approached Madhuri for this film when she was still living in the US. Then he was informed that the actress would be relocating to Mumbai. Madhuri was even more elated that she would be able to work senior actresses like Dimple Kapadia and Shabana Azmi, both of whom have worked with Madhrui earlier.

The film is likely to depict women of all ages and generations. Madhuri, Dimple and Shabana will form the first generation.

Karisma Kapoor will be part of the second generation of screen queens in the film. Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta will form the third generation and Genelia D`Souza and Deepika Padukone will represent the fourth generation.

Much is being discussed about Nikhil’s ambitious project as the director is all set to pay tribute to these divas. But when the daily contacted Nikhil, he refused to comment and simply said, “It`s too early to talk about this project. I`m at present scripting the film.”

Let’s hope that Nikhil finishes the script soon and manages to rope in all the gorgeous beauties for the film. Their fans cannot wait for this one!
